- Abstract
- In April 2025, the College adopted a European Internal Security Strategy, called ProtectEU, to support Member States and bolster the EU’s ability to guarantee security for its citizens.
The European Internal Security Strategy sets out a vision for a stronger Union – to jointly anticipate, prevent and respond to security threats, ensure the safety of its citizens, protect European democracies, and safeguard prosperity.
The strategy sets out an ambitious vision and workplan for the years to come, with a sharper legal toolbox, increased information sharing and deeper cooperation.
